I have a 2004 Holiday Rambler motorome with your 2824J. The prior owner installed Gell Batteries and I am wondering if this alternator has the right charging profile.

Good day, you will have to consult the makers of your batteries and ask them what's the best charge profile for their batteries and compare it to our alternator profile. That alternator is set at 14.0 volts +/- .2 volt and is not thermally compensating. In a worse case scenario, it will effect the longevity of your batteries, but no one knows by how much.
