I have fitted ap175 amp alternator part no 8sc3009za
the pulley is a wide muti grove. Three times the key way has sheered and the pully has spun on the shaft.
Tha alternator is running for 1hour every 24 at full power each time. on inspection the parts are not seized.

Good day, I think you might have a torque problem, or your pulley is not thick enough for the pulley nut to firmly clamp down on the pulley. Most of the time I see this, it is improper torque of the pully nut. And double check the thickness of your pulley to make sure that the nut is providing good clamping force. We make a lot of alternators with out woodruff keys all together, just need to be torqued correctly.
