My name is Leandro and I am the electrical engineer responsible for maintenance and operation of the electrical system of two oil platforms (PCH-1 and PCH-2) of PETROBRAS in the Campos Basin, Brazil.

These platforms are in operation since 1984.

On PCH-2 platform we stil have fire pumps with diesel engines of the Man, model R8V1618TL, 530kW, 1800 rpm. His starter system in 24Vdc has a Bosch starter motor model TBX (R), AL66/27, 15kW, 24Vdc already with many years of operation.

This starter motor sometimes is burned when there is no decoupling of the diesel engine after mecanical failure.

Some of these starter motors also had wear (ckacks) in the carcass, making it difficult to repair.

We have already made contact with Bosch in Brazil, but we have not succeeded in the recognition of motor's model.

We would like to buy 06 new starter motors of same model and we need to know if the Prestolite could send us a proposal for this supply.
