Sorry about the delay. This is an older manual that we do not keep up-to-date, but the manual 125-183 is available for download here (will open in new window).
It's a rather large file (6 mb+), so it may take awhile depending on your connection speed.

I would like to find any instructions for rebuilding a starter and an alternator. I realize that they vary in design but do you have something in general for training purposes?

We support our own products by supplying parts listings and (in some cases) repair manuals. We try to support rebuilders whenever we can with our own products, but do not supply generic rebuilder training.
In the US a good place to get help with aftermarket electric support is the AEA (Automotive Electric Association) segment of AAIA. You may want to start there.

I have 2 LeeceNeville 140 amp alternator2 model 8LHA2070VB that I want to rebuild to larger amperage. The amps of these are 140. I'd like to know if they can be rebuilt to a 200 amp by replacing with different staters and so forth? If so, please advise what parts I will need and the cost of these parts. A voltage regulator is not needed for these alternators. I know some of the other Leece Nevilles can be rebuilt to larger ones.
If so, I'd like to know if you have an instructional video or any instructions for this procedure. Any replies can be emailed to me at this email address.

Larry,
The highest amperage you can obtain on this alternator is 160 amps. The rectifier is not designed to reliably operate at 200 amps. You can use our service parts list at the link below to get the parts you need to convert your alternators to 160 amps. All that is needed is a new rotor and stator.
Please look at model 8LHA2070VE to get the correct parts.

I used to rebuild starters and altenators 20 yrs ago , but for some reason i changed careers, back then we just used to rebuild gm ,ford , crylser ,altenators and starters im sure there was more but 20 years thats a long time to rember back , for some reason i cant open the links to all these sites yu have on this web page , where people want info and you give them a web adress to go to , i was wondering if you might could email me enought info to get started back rebuilding starters and alternators on todays cars , i know they are totally different than the old ford and chevy ones , any info you can give me or email, would be greatley appreciated

Try it again today, we where having some problems yesterday with the site (actually, I accidentally deleted the 'Anonymous' user account, which caused all kinds of problems).

I did get to the site that you gave me , but it seems like problems with the site still exists , im still getting blank pages on some of the sites i visited , i also could not find the order form for the literature inf that you recommended for me to purchase , guess ill haft to give it a couple more days and see what happens , but thanks man for yur patience , im sure that we will get this worked out ,
