I purchased a new Holiday Rambler motorhome in September 2007 and experienced difficulty in starting the unit within the first 6 months.
It has a 400 Cummings engine and a Leece-Neville starter.
I had the unit serviced at the Monaco service center in Wildwood, Florida and was advised that the battery was draining. If this continued further investigation would be warranted. It did continue so I scheduled another appointment that was to be covered by the warranty.
And then Monaco closed so I took the unit to a more local service center and they found that the prblem was a corroded starter.
My question is since I only had 3400 miles on this vehicle andhad experienced the problem within the first few months of service, is this part (at a cost of $550) covered by your manufacturer warranty? Since Monaco is not currently in business I was advised to contact you (the manufacturer) directly.
Please contact me at bhaag@bellsouth.net or call 678-423-5072. I would be happy to supply any additional information needed.
